Abandoned House on Fire. December 2002 & January 2003.

This was Once A Lovely House In The Middle of Cliff Road, Looking over Sewaren's Waterfront. It was refered to As the Piaskowski House, or just Simply - The Brown-colored House. Like Many others, One of the things I Would Do if I Wion The Lottery Would be to Buy This House And Fix It Up Very Nice. For The Last Three Years, It was Abandoned and Deteriorated. A Local Builder Purchased The Property with plans to Demolish The Home. Approximatelly 3 Weeks before The Structure was Slated To Be Demolished, Woodbridge Firefighters were Dispatched on A Reported Smoke Condition in The Early Morning Hours. Arriving Firefighters & Police discovered Broken Glass and Blood. The Smoke was from a small Fire that had Been intentionally Set. Obviously, The Perpertraitor(s) got cut while Fleeing. It was thought to be From a Homeless Person. The small Fire burned itself Out.

January 15, 2003. The House was Torn Down on January 13 & 14 by Tractors. On January 15, A Call Came in That What Rubble Left Had Been Set on Fire. Crews spent Hours Knocking down the Smoldering Fire and Cleaning up the Debris. A Very Sad Ending To a Once Beautiful House.
